The motivation for this poem was drawn from Paul’s attitude during his turbulent times as an Apostle of Jesus Christ. (Philippians 1:20 NKJV) From the text, Paul uses the phrase Ernest Expectation, " which I have titled a poem. It means that Paul will not be distracted from his expectation but will remain immersed in it, grounded in his faith in Christ.

This poem was inspired by the writings of the Epistle of James, in particular these verses: Consider it all joy, my brothers and sisters, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.
